Today we went to Rila Monastery. This unique site was founded in the 10th century and is the largest and most famous Orthodox monastery in Bulgaria. It is considered one of the most important historical, cultural and architectural monuments in Bulgaria and is one of the biggest tourist attractions in this part of the Old Continent. It is one of the monuments listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
